Absolutely the WORST moving experience EVER and as a retired military spouse, my family has moved a lot! Prior to the move, nothing but nice and professional but the day of... the exact opposite. They were the cheapest quote and I got what I paid for two men and a truck I guess the bad attitudes and unprofessional were just a tip. Lesson learned, never again will I use them.
When it comes to the actual move, our moving team did a great job, and kept their spirits up, despite the five-hour job turning into an eleven-hour job. They worked very hard, so we ordered them pizza, and tipped them $300.
The problem stemmed from a couple days later, when we discovered theft--NOT loss, but actual evidence of theft. We had an unopened Nintendo Switch Lite console stored in our closet, originally intended to be a gift. We kept searching our belongings once settled in, figuring it had to be somewhere. We ended up finding the original packaging, empty, with the inside torn up, as if somebody wanted to quickly remove the console and charger before anyone noticed. We lived in a controlled access apartment building. There's nobody else who could have taken it besides one of them.
We contacted the office, and spoke with the operations supervisor. Initially, he expressed concern and understanding about what happened, and said that theft is not something they stand for. He asked me to give him a day to find out what course of action he had to take. I did.
I called back the next day, close to the end of their business day, because he never called me. He apologized, saying he didn't get a chance to do his due diligence. I gave him another day. The next day, I called again several times, due to his not being available. Eventually, he left for the day before I could reach him. On the fourth day, I called again, and the front desk person said she would let him know I called. A little while later, he called me back saying that his corporate office said the only thing I could do was file a police report, and that they would cooperate. I don't have much recourse beyond that. He didn't know what else to tell me, because all three of his guys passed background checks, with nothing beyond a speeding ticket. I filed my police report, but even the officer told me not to expect much, and suggested taking civil action.
I'm simply flabbergasted that I paid nearly $2,500 for a local move, to a company whose slogan is "Movers who care," only for one of their team to blatantly steal from us, and their manager then writes us off.
If you use Two Men and a Truck to move, they're great with heavy furniture, but pack all of your own belongings if you don't want them to steal from you!

I had used Two men and a truck 4 times for all my moves. My recent experience was the worst I've ever had. My quote was for 4.5 to 5 hours at an estimated total of $1400. I had everything packed in boxes with the exclusion of our record collection which was all in crates (and we previously advised them of this during the quote). It took them 10 hours to move and they charged us double what we were quoted. They were incredibly disorganized and careless. All boxes were clearly labeled, yet they left boxes wherever, stacking heavier items on top of items clearly labeled "fragile". My entire dish set was completely shattered! Other items were broken, furniture chipped and floor scratched. I've been trying for a month to speak to someone and get a resolution but they don't seem to care about their customers because they don't call me back. The movers seemed to be purposely taking longer to move items and lied about the number of furniture pieces we had when they reported their final report to their bosses. Will never use them again as they hold no accountability or respect for their customers.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this company. Here is my experience. Set up for 2 moves and storage for a couple weeks between moves. 1st move moving out of my home seem to go well. Guys seem to move quickly and do a good job. The team that moved me into my home had all the issues from my perspective. Right in the beginning the mover tells me he dropped my tv and he will give me cash not to say anything. Sketchy but I told him the price to replace it and showed him via online and then he said I would have to call a manager he didn't have the cash? Alright stuff happens when moving. By the end of the move we had a broken 55in tv, baby crib destroyed, cooler full of drinks glass bottles all smashed, broken lamps, missing broom, kitchen step stool left on truck and not returned, damaged my front door, damaged the walls walking into my new place, my couch looks like it was covered and slide in a dirty storage unit, and missing my vacuum. Not to mention the mover was telling me about his drug use and how he doesn't like to drink but like all the expensive bottles of liquor I had in a box? Wait you opened my boxes to see what's inside? The mover also proceed to inform me all the issues where the first team because they just threw my stuff everywhere in the storage unit and it took them a long time to load up the truck. I find it suspect it took them nearly 5 hours to move from there storage unit to there truck but only 3 hours to unload into an apartment up a flight of stairs.
So I call the manager go over these items send pictures pricing and filled out everything they asked to replace these items. The manager sends me an email some days later and says we will send you a check for $62 and change. I am furious and insulted that I am looking at over a thousand dollars in damage and that was the compensation offered. I expressed my dissatisfaction with that so the district manager called me a couple days later and we had a discussion about it and he would investigate then get back to me next day. It's been 2 weeks no follow up. I would assume they do not care at these point now that they have my money.
Do Not Use This Moving Company as they will not take responsibility for there mistakes.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING ANYONE ELSE. Two young, inexperienced and unmotivated guys moved me out of my apartment and my sister and I actually did much more work than they did. They kept stopping to sit down and took much longer than they should’ve. They made me upsize my storage unit because they didn’t feel like putting any effort into making things fit so I’ve had to pay more for a unit for the past several months because of their laziness. Finally moved out of it today *myself* and found my expensive sleeper sofa to have gashes and mud caked on all around the foot of it. Oh, and they also broke a lamp and thought it was funny... got that comped. But really just wish I would have gotten ANYONE else to move me. Now it will be lots of fun to have to buy a new sofa since they ruined this one and never told me. Sucky company in my opinion.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! After giving me a competitive price and moving my stuff into storage for 4 months, I called them to tell them of the expected move date and location. I then took the day off to be available to them. They ended up not showing until after 2:30 in the afternoon, so in essence I gave up a days pay when I could have worked and met with them after. They then attempted to charge me after I was called twice that same week by the office stating that I would not be charged as our house was so close to their location. They then went behind my back and not only took the amount of my account, but they took an additional $500 on top of that basically emptying my account and going into my overdraft protection account as well. They never contacted me about how the move went (even though there were about 7-8 things broken). When I contacted the office about this. The woman stated that the conversation of the no charge delivery never took place. No integrity in the office and questionable ethics. Take your business elsewhere. (Flint - MI.)
Do not use this company!
Two Men and A Truck moved me from old apartment to new apartment community in Feb 2021. I was very dissatisfied with the movers. My complaints are as follows…
1. Mover had to be reminded to wear mask as requested when booking move.
2. Upon leaving my old apartment to drive up the street to my new apartment , the drivers called me to say they were stopping to get something to drink, then he said they will get a sandwich. They didn’t say where but they were gone for 30 minutes. I reported matter to the company.
3. One of the drivers dropped some of my belongings into the wrong apartment. No excuse, they had my new address/apartment number listed on their papers.
4. They broke one of my China plates. The driver called his office to report broken plate but I’ve never received a callback from the company.
The drivers were unprofessional, and overall, the move was stressful and disappointing. I would not recommend using this company!
My contract stated I would have a 3 man team but because they were short staffed only 2 were there for the 1st hour. One of there team member's had to drop the 3rd member off. As they waited for this team member 1 of the 2 movers mentioned how he was supposed to be off but they called him in last minute. This is just to be clear how short staffed they were. A few hours into the move the team showed me that the truck was full and they didn't have much room for anything else. So he called his Manager, Brittany to advise her of the issue. Once he hung up, i asked "so what's the resolution?" he said "they don't care". So Brittany calls me highly agitated telling me they can't move my refrigerator because it requires them to take the doors off and they can't do that. I told her that was false because Home Depot removed my front door to bring it in so they still needed to move it. So she wanted to argue about that. At this point I'm pissed because she seems to have an attitude when I'm the one that paid her company to move. Fast forward past the back and forth arguing, my next question is how are you going to move the rest of my items. I sold my house and I need to be out of here by 5pm? She goes on to say she needs to "see" if she can get another truck out there and how it was gonna cost extra blah, blah, blah....My response is I don't care about the logistics. Brittany and I had words and she decided to hang up the phone in my face. What i kept telling her was I'm not arguing with someone I paid to do a job, so just GET IT DONE! If i wanted to be this involved in the details i would have moved myself with friends. The point of agreeing to pay a company 1000 plus dollars for a move is to get it done professionally and in a timely manner. Well none of that happen. So, the other truck never came and a lot of large items including my $3000 refrigerator was still left at the property.
So, i had to make arrangements with OpenDoor to RENT my house back for $213 per additional day. I didn't find another moving company to come out until Monday (the original move took place on Sat), i had to pay them $575 for 3 hours and I'll add that they were able to move my refrigerator but just removing the front door to the house and I paid OpenDoor an additional $426 to have the home for 2 more days. On Saturday, i informed 1 of the movers that I wasn't paying the balance of $592 because they didn't complete the job. He called who he needed to call, i tipped him $100 and he left.
Right after he left I called Amex and had them block any additional charges from Two Men and Truck. After, i was alerted by Amex that the company tried twice to submit the charges I got a call from Two Men and truck no apology just a call informing me that they worked 6 hours and needed to be paid. Whomever, the man was that called me could careless that the job wasn't finished, the extra expenses that i incurred nor the fact that his employee hung up on me. So, he mad sure to threaten me with collections and a lawsuit if I didn't pay. I told him I could careless and that I'd be glad to go to court.
However, Two Men and a Truck continued to try to charge my account and it eventually went through. Right now, i have a dispute with Amex because they said sometimes companies use different vendors (or something like it) to try to process payments and that's why it was allowed to go through.
So, we'll see how that goes. I was going to let that process handles it's self until I discovered that my $600 Fuji road bike that 2 Men and a truck moved and threw in my garage has a bent frame and the back tire is no longer on the bike. It's not rideable at this point. Prior to discovering this...maybe 3 days after the move I took the shrink wrap off my new Samsung washer/dryer set to find the entire top of the dryer dented. This company is disgusting and should be ashamed of ripping folks off and destroying their property. DO BETTER!

This review is for 2 Men & a Truck located in Fletcher, North Carolina. Our job was a two-part move. First, it was moving the bulk items from my home to a local storage facility, then a move 700 miles away to our new residence a month later. My wife and I are 70 & 66, and we packed all the incidentals, clothes, books, dishes, etc, with the idea of reducing our moving costs. We filled one 10 ft storage unit ourselves and rented a second one for the furniture. All that was left was the big stuff, couch, recliner, bedroom, a desk, and 3 TVs. I even gave away all the furniture in our second bedroom. Easy right? There weren't even any appliances. They gave me a written estimate of between $800 and $1100, which I thought was high to begin with. When the movers came the guy in charge, Dak, took a half-hour explaining things I already knew, or could have read. It took them 3 1/2 hours to unload half a house. When we got to the storage facility I asked Dak how long it would take to unload. He said an hour, hour, and a half. I left to do a few errands and returned an hour later. They had already unloaded all the big furniture (2 man job) and now Dak was at the unit while his helper unloaded everything else himself. Dak would "pack it" and line everything with brown paper which was completely unnecessary as the furniture was already padded and shrink-wrapped. When I questioned him, he said they have to do it. He was very defensive. Dak only left the unit once and that was to get something out of the cab. He didn't help the kid unload anything. Long story short, it took them over 3 hours to unload and the bill was $1300. Their estimate maxed at $1008 and I thought the minimum, which was $800, was more like it. I refused to sign and Dak put me on with the boss. He refused to lower the price even to the $1100 level. The price is the price he said. I signed for the $1300 and disputed the bill with my cc company. As I was leaving I had to squeeze through a small space as Dak didn't park far enough to the left to give people room to get by. My mirror caught a pole and folded back and then popped forward. As it did that it made a sound and Dak came around from the back of the truck and angrily accused me of hitting his truck. He's a big guy and I'm 70. It was unnerving. These guys are the worst from the top down to the crew leader. The young man who was the helper was the hardest worker. Good kid. I told them if they did a good job on this move, I would give them the big one too. LOL. What a businessman!
I disputed the bill, agreed to pay $800, and my bank accepted. This was a half-a-day job and should have been scheduled as one. I made it very clear at inception that there was very little left to move other than the furniture so they knew right at the start that they were going to stretch this out and rip the old people off.
I did not have the best experience with my move with the Stockbridge, GA location. The movers were friendly, but apart of my desk was broken by one of the movers. Also, I had a box of cleaning supplies from the laundry room contained gallons of bleach. One mover told me he could not carry certain items on the truck and asked me to unlock my car so he can put a few boxed items in the back seat. The mover put the box in side ways and not flat down to fit more items in the back seat. I noticed I needed to take the two boxes out of my car after the move was completed and noticed the smell of bleach. I immediately moved my boxes and saw that some bleach spilled out on the back seat of my car on my leather seat. I reached out to the company and I was advised they would not be compensating me for any damage done by the bleach spill. At this point it is not about compensating (which something should happen if there is permanent damage) It is about the principle of doing what's right and treating clients fairly and justly. The way I was treated given the $1700+ I paid for the service is just wrong! Overall, horrible experience!

great customer service
These clowns are horrible. They moved someone into my complex today. They showed up here not one of them wearing a mask. I asked them to wear one and they told me to f*** off they dont have to. Then for 6 hours they left the common way door open allowing cold air to come in. They were advised by all the current residents to please keep the door shut as we pay to heat that hallway all combined. They again to us to f*** off they can do as they want. Then they cursed out my neighbor when he came home and snapped on them for the way the acted and they call maintenance as claimed they were being harassed. We all have video proof of it. Very unprofessional company. They dont care at all. Cant even follow mask mandates to protect their clients and neighbors of their clients.

Totally legit, and Professional and Personable. I've used them a few times and have had great success each time.
Posted on 02/12/2020
It is a legitimate business, though poorly run in their Pewaukee, WI location.
Posted on 02/13/2020
Very difficult to deal with the people in the Pewaukee office and when you call the national office, they don't want to know about your complaint. They tell you that you have to deal with your local office.
Posted on 09/03/2019
Easy, however, they would not pay attention, nor act like they cared.
